If you've been following me for a bit you'll know I am a big believer in seasonal living and embracing all of the magnificent changes nature has to offer us as we move throughout the year. Winter I think is the hardest to embrace for a lot of people. So I just thought I would share a few things I love about the upcoming winter season. Also, we don't actually have any snow here right now but I thought this pic from last year made the post feel more wintry lol.

Happy Christmas Eve to those who celebrate! We celebrate both Yule and Christmas in our house so we are still feeling all the festive vibes. Just trying to relax, be present and enjoy this week. And as we begin settling into winter, we also have the arrival of Capricorn Season! A season for leaning into that driven Capricorn energy and beginning to plot, plan, and intention set for the upcoming year. Take some time for reflection and figure out what you really need for yourself in this upcoming year. Capricorn energy can also have us being a little too ambitious with our new year plans lol. As much as we want to we can't, and shouldn't, do all of the things. Decide what is truly important for you right now ❤️

So reflect, plan, get excited, be motivated and figure out ways to dig your heels into your new goals. But also stay grounded, be kind to yourself, and have patience. Allow yourself room to breathe, grow, and enjoy the magic of the season.

Since we have just entered a new season and it being Sunday and all, for today, I wanted to share a few ways to do a kitchen/house blessing which I always love to do around solstice time. I like to do this after cleansing and protecting my space as a final little step:
✨Burn a white candle in your space
✨Craft a blessing pouch for your cupboard
✨Craft a blessing jar for your counter or altar space
✨Burn Sandalwood, Valerian, or Lavender
✨Brew a blessing simmer pot
✨Write down your blessings for your space and keep it in a special place.
✨Recite a spell as you do these activities. You can say this little verse or something similar:
'This kitchen be blessed, with joy, love, and light. Warmth and abundance come day or come night.'

Ah hello beautiful friends, Yule is tomorrow! Do you have your festivities all planned out or do you prefer or more organic approach? Mine will be more organic this year. I am going to get up early and see where the magical solstice day takes me ✨ I adore the Winter Solstice so I am excited! However you are planning to celebrate, here are a few activity ideas in case you are still in need of some inspiration:

Time for a little Simmer Pot Magic for the week! A simmer pot is always on my Winter Solstice list of things to do. Perfect winter solstice activity to set intentions for the coming season and the house smells so divine and cozy too! Here is a blend you might like to try. Amounts of each ingredient is entirely up to you. You could also add in some cloves, ginger, or sprigs of pine. Get creative and have fun with it. And my Southern Hemisphere friends, swipe for a Litha Simmer Pot suggestion! ✨

I am really getting into the holiday baking spirit

I am really getting into the holiday baking spirit this week so I thought it would be nice to share my eggnog muffin recipe for grounding, success, and prosperity this morning:

❤️1 c. quick oats
❤️1 c. vegan eggnog (buy or make yourself)
❤️1 flax egg or egg replacer
❤️1/4 c. maple syrup
❤️2 tbsp. olive oil or coconut oil
❤️1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
❤️1/2 c. brown sugar
❤️1 1/2 c. whole wheat or all purpose flour
❤️1/2 tsp. baking soda
❤️1 tsp. baking powder
❤️1/2 tsp. Ceylon cinnamon
❤️1/4 tsp. nutmeg
❤️1/4 tsp sea salt
❤️2 tbsp. holiday sprinkles for topping

1. Preheat oven to 350 and line or grease your muffin pan.
2. Stir together oats and eggnog in a large bowl and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
3. Mix up your flax egg and set aside to thicken.
4. After the 10 minutes, add in all wet ingredients including the flax egg into the eggnog oat mixture. Mix to combine.
5. In a separate bowl mix together all dry ingredients.
6. Now add your dry ingredients into the wet and stir to combine.
7. Fill your muffin tins about 3/4 of the way full.
8. Sprinkle your holiday candies/sprinkles on the tops of the muffins.
9. Place your muffins in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes (oven times will vary). Insert a toothpick into the centre and when it comes out clean you will know they are done.
10. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Then place on wire rack to cool fully.

Makes 12 muffins. Perfect for breakfast or a nice little mid-day snack! I also have a full post up on the blog. Unfortunately, my website went down yesterday...again. Working to try and fix the issue. Once I do you can go ahead and have a read lol. Will keep you all posted!
